Blood on the Altar by Tobias Jones

This is a simply outstanding work of non-fiction. The story of the search for the killer of an innocent 15 year old Italian girl in her home town of Potenza truly reads like fiction. Corruption in the Catholic Church, the Italian magistrature and police are laid bare with ruthless attention to detail by an author, Tobias Jones, who knows Italy intimately. Jones' horror at the crime, his deep sense of injustice, and his contempt for the policies of Berlusconi combine to generate a prose which literally has the reader on the edge all through. This is a very good product indeed. Anxiety about protecting my Kindle from damage led me to surf through all Amazon reviews and all types of cover before I decided on the Cover-Up. I'm delighted I did for the following reasons:
1. The cover is substantial and protective without being bulky or awkward.
2. It is very easy to hold comfortably, just like a book, while reading.
3. The clip button is in the right place - away from the screen altogether.
Like other reviewers I did feel that the leather fold over flap was potentially dangerous; the Kindle just might fall out. However, two small squares of velcro fro any DIY shop solves the potential problem perfectly. Buy… Read more
