This is great beach reading(or perhaps dreaming of a beach in mid-winter reading) Funny, entertaining and engaging, the plot reminded me of a really good farce

This tiny book (pamphlet?) goes to the heart of the problem of those two "imposters" sucess and failure, judged by others or judged by ourselves, and shows where a better faithful sounder standard may be found. Touched me where itch.. Good to start a discussion

Yes,this is big book, but it of a big life with many lessons still to teach us. Lessons which have not always been correctly understood. This is man a humble hero deeply rooted in God, the very opposite to the image some have of him arising from misunderstanding or misuse of his phrase "religionless Christianity". Life, wider history and theology are carefully balanced in this book.No specail knowlege is required to profitably read it. Metaxas is a comparatively unobtusive biographer but has obvoiusly mastered a great deal of documentation and was almost always left me feeling compelled to read on.
