Ancient Grains for Modern Meals: Mediterranean Who&hellip by Maria Speck
5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous!, 3 Feb 2013
I couldn't agree LESS with the previous review. This is one of the most inspiring cook books I have seen in a long while (and the first I have ever felt strongly enough about to review!). Maria also writes about her childhood experiences in Germany and Greece, where her Mother and Grandmothers taught her the pleasures of a food tradition rich in nuts, fruits and grains. She has adapted these recipes to suit our twenty-first century lifestyle, and the result is a delight.

A beautiful book! I've made several items from this and been happy with them all. I've done virtually no papercrafts before and found the instructions very clear and the resulting items quite charming!

3.0 out of 5 stars Strange shaped loaves!, 18 Jun 2012
Works well, bit a bit "floppy" - best used as a liner for an existing loaf tin (this can even be a very old rusty one!) This way you get a perfectly shaped loaf which leaves no crumbs stuck to the tin. Manufacturer please note: why not solve the problem with a stiffening ring at the top?
