This is a simple item, but it's exactly what I wanted. I do a lot of proofreading, and this lets me tuck my keyboard and mouse under the monitor to create a nice clear desk, putting to an end years of putting my keyboards behind monitors. My Das Keyboard Model S : Professional UK and mouse fit under it very neatly. Requires a tiny amount of assembly.

Enjoyed the story, but this Gollancz/SF Gateway edition of it was utterly dreadful, clearly having been scanned in and never checked, with ridiculous mistakes from start to finish. Typical errors include: "On the Vorrish side it was tempered with a land of puzzlement", "This was another point they bore in mind when dunking of us", "Where is he JIOW?" and an order "not to supply any more of this poison to my 8011". I won't buy any more SF Gateway books without checking the Kindle previews; wish I hadn't pre-ordered so many before they were released.

And when I do get kicked off it I can just start Chrome on my PC and carry on without any fiddling about.

It's the first laptop we've had that didn't overheat or pause for coffee breaks, and we've had more expensive laptops that had worse keyboards and worse screens - and until I took it to the library and saw everyone fighting over plug sockets… Read more
