Fred And Rose: The Full Story of Fred and Rose Wes&hellip by Howard Sounes

This is my first read into true crime and so was a little unsure at first. Having flicked past the first couple of chapters, the book came to life and pulled every detail that could possibly be, into my mind.

The structure is very straightforward, starting from before Fred and Rose were born, and details everything that is known right up until the trials. What is interesting is that you get a painted background to the depraved couple and although you can't excuse their actions, but see why their path was only ever going to lead to bad things. 5.0 out of 5 stars Morse - The Greatest, 6 Jan 2008

The most important ingredient of the series though is clearly the late John Thaw. What a wonderfully gifted actor. He creates so much character to Morse that this is what makes the series so extra special. Without John Thaw, I believe it would not be the same.

The music is absolutley beautiful throughout and you never tire of… Read more

I have felt for a long time now that films, dramas etc. have lack in the chilling department and that most fail to do what old classics managed to do so many years ago. However, 'AfterLife' does this and boy, it does this really well.

Through each episode, you have a different story being told and all the episodes within the season are enclosed by a seasonal story about the main characters. This style is… Read more
