Just in reply to Mr Ghostface and his comments about the movie being 1080i. This is due to two inexplicable reasons. I'm going to get a bit nerdy so apologies in advance!
1. The Blu-ray standard doesn't support 1080p25 - only 1080i50. So whilst this movie is encoded as interlaced because the standards say it has to be, the image is actually progressive. The two fields should be weaved together on playback, not deinterlaced. Who knows what actually happens on different BD player and TV combinations.
2. Films should be 24fps anyway, not 25fps. Both 1080p24 and 1080p24000/1001 are part of the Blu-ray standard and used for most films. For no good reason some BDs released… Read more
