This book is quite simply the bible of the Conflict of Laws. Few texts are as thorough and as easy to understand as this one, which does a good job in explaining this notoriously difficult area of law. One of the few Law books I'm sure to keep on my bookshelf!

It is simple and contains all the basic info you need. However its compactness, although it makes it easy to carry, means it lacks a lot of detail.
Criminal Law (Foundation Studies in Law Series) by Michael Jefferson
I found this book to be long and rambling, with it sometimes going on for pages and pages without any subheadings. I don't doubt that Jefferson knows his stuff, but it is not organised coherently at all in my view. I had to use other textbooks to supplement my knowledge after I was left confused.
