I read this book when my son was three. I was being the mother I so did not want to be with him. I was screaming at him, hitting him and being generally horrible. Help! My Teenager is an Alien: The Everyday Situat&hellip by Sarah Newton

This book spoke to me, gave me tools to communicate more effectively with my son who is 17. I wish I had read it earlier as it would have supported me to be more the sort of parent I would have wanted to have been. It enabled me to understand teenagers more and realise that actually underneath all the grunts is a loving son who is just unable to control his emotions. If I had read it earlier I could have supported my son in a more emphathetic and constructed way through the early years of his teenage life. He is now defintiely smiling more and offering to make me cups of tea - he really does know the way to my heart! A relieved and very loving mother.

Fabulous, incredible a solution that really works. Bob explains things so well and is utterly inspiring. I have done a lot of work on myself to do with money and emotions and this is the best strategy I have ever come across. I am definitely moving towards living my live in phase 2. Cannot recommend it enough.
