1.0 out of 5 stars Tortuous, 12 Mar 2011
I loved Sophie Hannah's first three books in this series. But since then I have been reading them in hope of a return to form, only to be more disappointed each time. 'Lasting Damage' was tortuous. The plot was ridiculous, the dialogue was inane, the characters, as usual, two dimensional, unlikely and almost entirely unlikeable. It is so difficult to care about the book's events when almost all the characters are despicable ! I kept on with the book out of strong curiosity; a need to know how the plot could possibly be resolved. But I couldn't wait for it to be over and I won't buy any more in this series.

The final scene with one of the principle characters gasping out her version of… Read more

I was nervous about buying a laptop for my twins, aged 11 and ten year old. Although I use one myself I am a bit of a novice. However I've been delighted with this product. It was exceptional value, I managed to set it up in a short time, including very easy to use parental controls. Even linking it to the other laptop, printer and internet via wi-fi was made easy by on-screen instructions. have seen it written that it is not good for playing… Read more
