I came across Hamilton's name in biographies of Franklin, Adams, Jefferson and Washington and bought this to see what he was all about. This is a wonderful book which details all of Hamilton's extraordinary strengths as well as a fair few weaknesses. I was so impressed with Mr Chernow's writing that I purchased 3 other books of his on Rockefeller and the finance houses of Morgan and Warburg.
