The Gilbert Scott Book of British Food by Marcus Wareing

Lovely book, I was hesitant at buying a restaurant based recipe book as many are too complex. This one makes me want to visit the restaurant and the recipes focus on good quality ingredients with the British theme throughout. I want to cook meals from this book instead of just read about them, which I do with most of my recipe books.

A great book and TV series. We travel 30 miles round trip to buy Tom's bread and it is well worth it, as is this book and the TV series. The brother's enthusiasm for baking and cookery has captured my 12 and 17 year old, both who now want to start baking bread and taking an active role in the kitchen. I have made 3 of the recipes and all have been yummy. My children now ask me what we are having from the Baker brothers tonight!
