A Daring Adventure in Paint: Inspiring Techniques &hellip by Mati McDonough
5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful art book., 28 April 2014
This is a terrific book for either beginners, or artists who want to free up their technique. I am an artist and already know many techniques, but I still rate this as my favourite art book, it is inspiring, encouraging and very freeing. If you want to make colourful, expressive art for the pure joy of being creative then this is the book for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars book review, 4 Aug 2013
This is an excellent book for a beginner or anyone looking for new ideas; there are some excellent projects. The examples of work by experienced makers are really inspiring too. I found the instructions very clear and there is plenty of useful information about materials and techniques. Well worth the money.

An excellent book for the price with beautiful patterns, as well as nice ideas for things to do. I just wish there were actual traceable patterns rather than a disc to print them off as a pdf.
