5.0 out of 5 stars Petzl Strix VL, 13 Jan 2014

I ordered this for myself as lightweight but robust scarf for wilderness camping. You can buy camouflage variants of these but I wanted to stick to a plain black version to match my gear.

The scrim is large and can be folded in multiple ways relative to how you'd like the scarf to sit. The material is rather coarse but it is easy to get used to and at least reassures you that it will last a while.

The mesh itself is a fairly open weave, allowing a lot of circulation and a good degree of sight when the scarf is pulled to cover the entire face, but is still fine enough to keep you warm.

My only setback to the product are the unseemed edges. The threads are… Read more
