Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I'm glad I didn't actually pay for these myself or I would be very disappointed.

I have lost quite a bit of weight over the last year and still have about a stone more that I want to loose. Since Christmas I have plateaued a bit and when I saw these on Amazon Vine I thought I'd give them a go. I was still eating healthily, just not actively having a big push on the weight loss front. I took these for a few weeks and nothing changed at all. This happened the next few time I fed them too. Finally, I thought, something that comes up to their royal highnesses standards. Alas, it was a short-lived love affair, as only a few days… Read more

Until a few years ago I had never read a Hardy. I had heard about how depressing his books were and stayed clear for that reason. I then found myself reading a copy of Tess of the D'Urbervilles and really enjoying it. A few years later I read the first page of The Mayor of Casterbridge while staning in a book shop and found that I couldn't put the thing down! TMoC is now one of my all-time favourite books.

Under the Greenwood Tree was a lovely, simple book (not simple in terms of prose, but in temrs of not having much drama). I put it off for a while as I needed to be in the right frame of mind to read it. Others have called it dull and I certainly wouldn't say that, but if it's… Read more
