A lovely, haunting picture book, highly unusual, incredible dream like images and almost vorticist compositions...

Simply an excellent example of the comic book as artistic medium of an individual creators expression. A poetic, transformative narrative rather than a story-led one, what is striking is the incredible use of line and overall composition. A tiny gem.
Manhood for Amateurs: The Pleasures and Regrets of&hellip by Michael Chabon
Chabon's consummately middlebrow mixture of life insight, cultural analysis, and new mannish handwringing: for me stays just this side of mawkishness. Found it a very pleasurable, honest and nonetheless lightly entertaining read.
