I found the book compelling and didn't want to put it down. Sympathetic towards Lawford but doesn't make excuses for him either. Its a good insight upon the times and how the rich and powerful operated.
I liked this book because it was a collection of true crime stories which was easy to read over short reading opportunities. However, most stories are well covered elsewhere so would not tell the experienced true crime reader anything they didn't already know.
Having read a lot of books which offer a variety of opinions, I found this an interesting and very believable scenario. Easy to read, especially if like me you only get to read for short spells. Good flow in text.
