This book tells the story of Natty and Sean who receive a phone call that their daughter has been taken ill on a school trip to France. The same day that Natty's university friend, Eve, arrives from the US after the break up of her marriage. What happens next is the stuff of nightmares. As Natty dashes off to France to be with her and Sean's daughter, Eve gets her claws into Sean and basically steals Natty's life. She destroys it. Completely.

The pace never lets up and focuses on just a handful of characters who you can instantly connect with. The whole story unfolds in just a few weeks though its history goes back 18 odd years to the girls' days at uni, though Natty… Read more
Red Ted Art: Cute and Easy Crafts for Kids by Margarita Woodley

The book has over 100 pages crammed with craft ideas. Most of them using things that are lying about the house or garden. This is not a book that forces you to go out and spend a fortune stocking up on specialist bits and pieces. All the crafts are designed so the children can take the lead and not need a load of parental input. And mess is positively encouraged. In fact it seems to me that the end result is not actually the important bit. It is the doing that is important. Children creating something by themselves and being able to hold it up and say "I made this".

If you have young children, either of your own, or in your family this is a fabulous present idea.

Every hand bag, every coat pocket, glove box in my car.... you name it.... there is a pot of this balm in them.

It is a life safer. I use it on my hands, on cuts and grazes, all the time. And everywhere.

In fact when I went to Africa recently I passed it round the whole team so we could put it under our noses when entering a slum. We also used it on our wrists and ankles at night to stop mosquitoes.

I cannot sing the praises of this balm highly enough. It really is a beauty bag must have.
