In My Own Words:
I am a Primary School supply teacher and I live in the beautiful North Cotswolds in England. I have always enjoyed writing children's stories and I have published two of 'The Jess Series' in paperback and kindle formats.

As well as reading and writing, I also enjoy painting with my local Art group. My other interests are cooking, gardening and looking after my husband, my family and Oscar, our lazy black cat.

Downloaded this story as it was on offer and really enjoyed it. Children obviously had more freedom in the 1950's!

4.0 out of 5 stars Lovely children's story, 22 July 2013
As a children's author myself the cover of this book caught my eye. It proved to be a delightful and funny story which should appeal to all the children who read it. The illustrations were excellent and linked well with the story.

4.0 out of 5 stars A gripping story, 23 Jun 2013
A gripping story which kept me intrigued until the end. The characters really came to life throughout. I enjoyed seeing Tom take a prominent part in the story, as I liked his character in the first book. I thought this book was slightly better than the first and not quite as disturbing.
