The Disney classics 'Alice in Wonderland' and 'Bambi' are my favourites; I feel modern Disney lacks substance, when compared to the older movies. But this is possibly the best of the newer Disney offerings. Exciting and colourful, this tale never gets dull. It tells the story of the disfigured but gentle hunchback bell-ringer of Notre Dame, who has been raised by Frollo - a religious official. Well, what can I say or add that the other reviewers have not? Not much. Only that this is FAR from the average violent & profane techno anime. This movie is something that anyone would enjoy; old or young, prepare to be spellbound. I first saw this movie some time ago, at a friend's house. When the credits rolled by, I sat there literally stunned. I borrowed the DVD, took it home and began to watch it non-stop over and over (this caused some alarm among my other family members, by the way :).
Miyazaki is a GENIUS. I am so in love… Read more

Wow. Now that was one hell of a movie.
This edition looks cool; hats off to Amazon for it.
Let me be honest; I have never liked King Kong. I am not fond of monkeys, and the whole idea that a human girl could fall in love with a giant ape, is rather dubious; for me. One of my friends literally dragged me off to see this, and I gave in (grudgingly).
And I sat there, stunned, as the film began to flow like liquid silk. It was the most goddamn amazing thing I have seen in a while. It grabs hold of you, and adamantly refuses to let you go.
It has all the makings of a perfect masterpiece - romance, horror, action.. (those giant leeches made me want to hurl, but apart from this… Read more
