Having read the book before I saw the film, I knew that it would be a great film with loads of laughs and cringworthy moments. This film was all that. You can't help but shake your head whenever Neil (Ben Barnes) turns down every great offer by the record companies. If it's handed to you on a plate, you'd take it! I would. I found this film very entertaining and slightly hearwarming (as this was the final film of Pete Postlewaithe). The script could not have been written any wittier then it was. The love/hate relationship between Neil and Ivan (Robert Sheehan) is really moving and humerous throughout the film. But it is the core story that makes the film very interesting to watch. 5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant fun read!, 2 Sep 2011
I brought this book ages ago when I was going through a low period in my life and I read it one night. And boy did I laugh! With sympathy and pity. 5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning!!!, 12 Jun 2011
I only just discovered Jeff Buckley last year and I never thought that this beautiful album would soar straight into my heart! His incredible voice his just heartbreakingly stunning and timeless, I then realised that he covered Leonard Cohan's "Hallelujah". OH my GOD! I cried when I listened to his version! This is without a doubt the best album I own. Its such an incredible timeless sound that will never die. "Corpus Christi Carol" had me reaching for the tissues. It is such a crying shame that he died so young at 30. He was so good looking and talented, he has inspired so many musicians since he died and he's legacy will always live on forever. His voice will never be forgotten as it was… Read more
