As with all Visage singles from Blitz we get great value for money, and a very wide range of remixes. The highlights are always the band's own "Extended Remix" and Instrumental, and the former on this release is really excellent, with lots of extra synth breaks. The Man Parrish remix, previously available as a 'vs' download, is also extremely good. For the house/trancey fans you get the Stirfry and Martin Brodin remix, which is still a full vocal, and the slightly less successful Realight Remix, which purely features snippets of Lauren's vocals. This mix also has a rather disconcerting middle breakdown, with boosted key stabs and irregular dropped beats, which was ok for about 32 beats and… Read more

This album is classic throughout, whether you choose the side full of great singles (+ the incredibly eerie "Mother Stands For Comfort") or the thoughtful, and often dark, "Ninth Wave" journey on the flip.

There has been some confusion about the recent Audio Fidelity US Vinyl releases, of which this is one. Originally they released a limited edition in 2010, in gate-fold sleeve, which was numbered and was in grey/pink marbled vinyl (says nothing on sticker about any colour). There were some label/sleeve typos, and some pressing issues on some batches. Five Takes (A Song About Andy) [DVD AUDIO]
Somewhat self-indulgent project for all parties involved, though I do love most of what Billie releases. The various mixes are quite similar, and the videos tend to recompile images and treat them differently. It's ok but not a disc that'll be playing that often!
