Behind The Scenes At The Museum by Kate Atkinson	Impenetrable, 11 Jun 2013 Like wading through molasses! I would have to be paid a considerable amount of money to complete this book. A waste of money, which is a pity because I so much wanted to like it.

Simp by John Burningham	Wonderful, 11 Mar 2013 The first time I read this for my 3 3/4 year old, he was utterly enchanted. His words when I finished: "Read it again mammy". That's the only time that's ever happened (usually he wants another book) and says it all.

Have they ever read a good book? Averaging a howling grammatical error or typo per page, this kitchen sink pot boiler gets progressively more dull as it (fails to) gather any pace or narrative tension. Also just how many times does the writer need to tell us how gorgeous Kat Spicer is? We.get.the.message.
