Bought as part of a collection, as growing up never enjoyed this film from the Disney library, but that said shall split review into two aspects;
The film -
I find the characters of Bagheera and Mowgli excruciatingly irritating to sit through, and Baloo swings back and forth between a comic relief and just grating. Alot of the musical numbers I will admit are fun, Bear Necessities isn't too bad, I really enjoy I Wanna Be Like You, and the song near the end that was a riff on The Beatles is quite entertaining. The characters of the vultures are quite amusing, King Louie is great and Sheer Khan is genuinely one of the great Disney villains. Some of the elements just don't seem to… Read more

I have always been a huge fan of the film's sequel Rescuers Down Under, with this one always merely being fun to me, however I was still excited when heard this was getting the blu ray treatment, and I was not disappointed.

Film - the film itself is a classic, and contains an interesting balance between the sweeter side of Disney as well as some of it's darker more forgotten about elements that push the limits of a child-friendly film. However that said, having grown up watching this and darker installments, I don't think it would have any lasting effect and if anything works as an ideal starter for your child to grow curious about darker films as they get older… Read more

I have never been a fan of Avenged through the earlier years, found their persona and vocals to be too screeching for my tastes, however I have still enjoyed the odd songs from them up to this point, particularly Nightmare where noticed a slight change to the Avenged I had known. My friend is a die hard fan and recommended I try this album, and he was not wrong!
Even speaking as someone who has liked maybe a handful of songs in their discography, this album was near flawless on it's first listen, and by third listen was already vying for a spot as one of my favourite albums.
