I received this book, maybe 15 minutes ago, {thinking there were 2 book in the packet, it's that big} and have only 'glanced' through it, yet feel I can say; this is "PROBABLY THE BEST BOOK I'VE EVER BOUGHT" !
As a reference book for my hobby, Making Resin Slot car's, track scenic's and painting figures, this book has it all (and that's from a 15 minute look) it's that impressive.
It's a photographic tomb with very little but basic information on each photo. Which is a shame, as it leave's one wanting more. Each HEADING {TITLE} PAGE is written in 8 different languages. At 540 pages, mostly colour photograph's, it truely is a BARGIN.

As always a fantastic Photographic view of another decade of Sports Car Racing...
Unfortunatly for me it was neither a surprise or disapointment, that the Car's of the period, let it down.
There are an awful lot of what I would call 'Souped-up' Saloon Car's rather than Sports cars.
As someone who want's reference photo's for Slot-Car modelling, there are some really great photo's, especially
of car's being worked on / patched up in the pits.
I wasn't expecting too much from this book, as it's not a decade I'm interested in. I was however disapointed to see
exactly what sort of car's were being raced during this period.
If you have not bought a book in this… Read more

Having bought the 1960-69 book in this series, I was quite disapointed. {5* review for that}. I model slot car's and scenery and bought this book as a picture reference book. In that respect, I'm only giving it 3 star's. Far too many b&w photo's for my use.
An extreamly interesting book to read for fact's and photo content. Just not what I needed.
I have kept the book and still look at it but don't use it for the reason I bought it.
