Three Chords for Beauty's Sake: The Life of Artie &hellip by Tom Nolan
As a clarinet player, Artie Shaw rates at the top of my industry and so it was only fitting to learn a little more about the man behind the instrument. Tom Nolan has made outstanding research and included a great many facts which are no9t commonly known. Bringing all the information together in one volume is a feat itself, however he writes in a very easy to read style which compel the reader to turn the page. I would certainly recommend this to any historian or music researcher.

This piece once made famous by George Lewis has characteristically transformed into an equally delightful work by Aker Bilk. His interpretation of Lewis's piece with his style of playing is unmissable and and absolute pleasure to listen to. I would recommend this to all Jazz enthusiasts and clarinet players.
