I have seen Simple Minds a few times over the years and was eagerly looking forward to this one arriving on Blu Ray. The review from Fleece was great in terms of pointing out the track listing (real shame they did not have Belfast Child included in the set/disc) and my copy arrived from Amazon and was straight on to the player.

Sound quality is very good - what is not indicated anywhere is the fact that the disc has a 5.1 lossless PCM track and it sounds good. Perhaps a touch bright but good. This show seems to have been made available as part of the CD/DVD release but this is a title I, for one, was hoping to see in HD and with video and sound of the highest possible quality. Strangely no UK Blu-ray release has been made for this but, a few months ago, it appeared on so I pre-ordered. I am pleased to say the Blu-ray arrived promptly from Amazon and without any customs charges. The link for this is Live Royal Albert Hall Blu ray A full review as follows:

The Blu-ray captures Emeli at the fantastic Royal Albert Hall which makes for an ideal location for a filmed event. The show was… Read more
