5.0 out of 5 stars A true gem, 21 Sep 2014
Jill Jackson has been around for a lot longer than people realise. From her earlier days in Speedway which was very much a rock band she moved on & followed her heart into a more country/blues genre. Absolutely gripping read. Full of suspense. What I love about this author is that he doesn't specialize in happy endings. True tartan noir.

5.0 out of 5 stars wonderful read, 21 Sep 2014
I have read all Lilian Harry's books and the quality of writing has never waned. I will not be alone in wishing Burracombe was a real place. Who wouldn't want to live there. This book seems to be tying up some loose ends in the saga of the residents of the village. The characters are all formed throughout the series so you feel you know them and want to have a hand in their fate. You really have to read all the books in the series to appreciate the whole story. You will not be disappointed.
