An Englishman in Madrid by Eduardo Mendoza
An Englishman in Madrid by Eduardo Mendoza
2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 27 Jun 2014
I had heard good things about this book and was looking forward to reading it. Sadly it did not meet up to expectations. I felt it was badly translated- or rather, inapproriately translated, where English figures of speech seemed to jar in the Spanish setting. I found the 'hero' insufferable! Friends who persevered to the end said it improved after a flat bit in the middle, but I gave up long before then. Not like me , but life is too short to labour over a book like this.

4.0 out of 5 stars great tiger feet !, 24 Mar 2014
I ordered these in a size 4 ( I am an adult) which was fine, to complete a a tiger outfit. I think they would probably fit size 5 too.I wished I had ordered two pairs, one for my hands as well! They are very comfy and look grrrreat! Sadly they did not arrive in time for the event ( not the sellers fault , as it was a very last minute order) but are all ready for the next time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very useful resource, 24 Mar 2014
This is a very helpful book of designs based on those of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, including some of his own particularly famous ones. I used it with my P4 class, and it allowed everyone, not just the arty ones , to produce an excellent design of their own using these designs as a guide if required
