Rubber Soul [VINYL] ~ The Beatles
Rubber Soul [VINYL] ~ The Beatles

Well, this is something. I never got to hear the original Beatles' mono releases due to my age and lack of money. I'm not too fussy about the stereo or mono debate, sacrilege though that that may seem. But I do like vinyl for acoustic and aesthetic reasons, and having recently purchased a good record deck am selecting a few new vinyls to accompany my old ones.

Sound-wise, I think this is great. My single greatest worry was that the sound would just appear to be coming from a tiny space dead-centre of the stereo speakers (I have heard that effect on some classical mono CDs). This is one formidable looking shaver. In use, it turns out to be well-balanced in the hand, and one adapts to the large shaving area. My current shaver is a Braun Series 7 which I like very much. How does this compare? Well, I'd say that on my skin the Panasonic gives pretty much the same quality of shave as the Braun 7. Which is good. The Panasonic is noisier, and its battery life, in my experience, does not match the astonishing life of the Braun (well over two weeks). I have not used the Panasonic cleaner unit; I find these too bothersome and just wash the cutter under the tap.

The shaver comes with a carry case and cleaning fluid. It does not have to be placed into the… Read more
