Stranded ~ Jennifer Paige
Stranded ~ Jennifer Paige
5.0 out of 5 stars Another hit, 29 July 2003
'Stranded', the first single to be lifted from her second album 'Positively Somewhere', some might recognize as a cover of the original version by Christian band Plumb. Good choice for a single, as the song floats along with a breezy musical style and catchy choruses. Jennifer sings her heart out on this track and gets to again show off her vocal power as she belts out the final choruses. This track is one of those summer anthems that always perks you up when it's not so summery outside! 'Stranded' should've done well in the UK charts, but it failed to break into the Top 75 which is a shame. It's a pity that todays chart is filled with utter drivel and hidden treasures like Jennifer Paige… Read more

Always You ~ Jennifer Paige
5.0 out of 5 stars Standout Single, 29 July 2003
After listening to her debut album, one of the songs that stood out for me was 'Always You', with its gentle guitars and subtle strings, so naturally I was delighted when it was chosen to be her third UK single. I was curious however with regards to whether the album version would be released as some may find it a little slow, so when I heard the remix, I was pleasently suprised! The single contains the excellent radio version which could've been a dancefloor hit, the excellent ballad remix, a further remix, and the instrumental. How a song can be a great ballad, and a great dance track at the same time is something not often seen today, so well done Jennifer! It's an uplifting song that is… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Always Excellent, 16 May 2003
When i heard that Jennifer Paige was to release 'Always You' i was thrilled, as for me, it has to be one of the standout tracks of her debut. After listening to the remix that was to be the single version i was thoroughly impressed; i never knew that such a beautiful ballad could be mixed into a positively uplifting dance track. This CD contains the catchy single version, as well as a superb ballad remix, which i feel should have been the version present on her debut. A further remix and the instrumental are present, so you can belt out your own version! For me, it has to be one of the best singles of its year, and despite charting poorly, i feel it will be one of the classics of the… Read more
