7 Wonders Board Game by Asmodee
I'll keep it brief, but this boardgame is perfect for the family. It plays in less than an hour, and is a great way to get kids away from the tv or other devices.

A thoroughly great story about the war between Angels and Demons.

Thankfully Daniel Arenson keeps well away from 'religion', whilst dealing with the topic of Angels and Demons battling for control of the Earth.

It has a variety of themes in the book, mainly centering around family, friendship and the meaning of good and evil.

I would recommend this to anyone who likes dark fantasy.
Free Kicks: A Novel About Pro Soccer In the US by Rory Miller
Free Kicks is a novel, based in the world of Major League Soccer in America. It is a work of fiction, although based in reality, with names changed to protect the innocent.

As a novel it works well. The plot is a simpe case of a guy inheriting a MLS franchise, and trying to make a go of it despite a whole raft of problems on and off the pitch.

What is really fascinating to me as an English football fan is the insight we get on the inner workings of the MLS itself.

A thoroughly enjoyable read, for any fan of football.
