4.0 out of 5 stars Overall, Excellent, 15 July 2010
This is an excellent series and it is great to have it in one box set. However, as has been mentioned before, there are a few issues with the packaging of the set.

1) The Pilot episodes "Prescription Murder" and "Ransom for a Dead Man" come on Season 1 Disc 5. Not a very sensible place to put them.

2) There are eighteen DVD cases contained within the box. They are stacked in two piles and the piles are right next to each other with no division. If I want to dig deep in one pile, I need to get both, rather slippery piles out!

3) There is no list of the episodes contained within the set although the back of each DVD cover has this information.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Collection, 14 Feb 2005
As the 'Little House' books need no introduction by me, I am reviewing only on this particular collection. Contained in the collection are: 'Little House in the Big Woods', 'Farmer Boy', 'Little House on the Prairie', 'On the Banks of Plum Creek' and 'By the Shores of Silver Lake'. The illustration are lovely and in colour and appear to be the same balck and white illustrations found in the old Puffin editions that I have (and which are now falling apart. The Puffin books cost me between 25p… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Good Value, 3 Aug 2004
This dvd player was very quick to set up even without reading the instruction manual. I put the batteries (supplied) in the remote control, put the machine on the shelf, inserted the scart plug, pressed the power button, inserted a Region 1 dvd and settled back to watch a film! My only very small negative remark has to be that it is not the most attractive machine that is around being somewhat bigger than others. This is a very small criticism though especially given the competative price.
