Let It Be... Naked ~ The Beatles
Let It Be... Naked ~ The Beatles
Let it be ,the original release is so embeded in popular music that is difficult to hear this album with new ears. As a plus one can imagined what the original concept was ,hear the band doing their own arrangements of their own songs (some songs quite outstanding as it is known ) and getting back to their rock roots . One wander what may have been the reaction to this album in 1970 without Spector production, but that'll never know.
The Invisible Artist: Arrangers in Popular Music (&hellip by Richard Niles
This book surely is the first of its kind as far as i know in the study of arrangers in popular music. Is full of interviews ,musical examples of arranging techniques (not whole scores , that will take another book !) but enough to understand the arranging techniques ,analysis of songs and their arrangement and a historical perspective of all these decades of music arranging . Hope this approach will have continuity.Excellent book.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book, 4 Dec 2011
This book is well researched interesting for musicians and not musicians and a glimpse into the reality of Mozart 's life .Some myths are destroyed too. Worth a try and a great read.
