If you are interested in the technical aspects of the Chieftain tank in British service then this book is for you. If you are interested in how it actually fared in combat you'll be gravely disappointed. The Chieftain was extensively used by the Iranians during the Iraq-Iran War, often in static emplacement and was futher modified by the Iranians and also used by the Kuwaitis against Saddam Hussein's invasion but the author doesn't mention this much. If you really want a good read grab a book by Steve Zaloga instead.

I had already bought the dvd sets and bought the Blu-ray version as an upgrade but was disappointed by the visual upgrade , yes the visuals are only marginally better than dvd. Don't expect Zulu quality Blu-ray video transfer; if you have an amplifier which can decode HD Master Audio 5.1 plus a 5.1 or better cinema system then that will be a nice plus when viewing the space battles but overall I can't recommend this to most people.

If you've got the dvds already I'd not bother about upgrading your set. I'd only really recommend this to people if you haven't got the dvds and either you have a full HD TV which is bigger than 40" or you use a projector and have a 5.1 cinema system… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Edge-lit LED TV, 31 July 2010
Bought this Tv direct through Harrow Electronics, who provided excellent service. This Tv is easy to set up and has an in-built HD Freeview Tuner for those able to receive HD Freeview. The HD Freeview channels are fantastic and the other freeview channels are pretty good too and can also be sharpened to Toshiba's resolution+ system. The screen is fairly reflective so care should be taken in placing the set so that lights are not reflected into it. In common with most modern flat screens the sound is on the weak side.

This is Toshiba's current flagship model and has a wide variety of inputs including USB but has limited internet tools but lets face it most people don't really need… Read more
