I try to give honest and upfront in depth reviews to help buyers make informed choices. I specialise in photography equipment & technology reviews, but also review other items. If I am sent a product to review, I always state this clearly.

Photo & Computer enthusiast, technology fan. Gadget lover through and through. Non fiction book fan (history and factual) though I do read some fiction from time to time.

PowerGen 3.4-Amp (17 Watt) Dual USB Wall Charger f&hellip
Note: The maker sent me a review sample, no attempt was made to influence my review

This is the second unit I got from PowerGen to test, and just like the other plug charger it has the same attractive smooth finish and feels solidly made. There is a small "lip" near the plug end to ease pulling the unit out of a socket.

On this unit you have 2 USB charging ports, one for "iDevices" ie Apple and one for "Andriod", which also doubles as a universal port.
The maker doesn't specify the output for each port, but it's usually around 2.0 amps max, in total though the output is rated at 3.4 amps across both ports. The manual notes that you should use the port for the… Read more
PowerGen 4A 20W Quad USB Wall Charger for Apple iP&hellip
Note: The maker sent me a review sample, no attempt was made to influence my review

The PowerGen USB wall charger has a good fit and finish with a glossy white exterior. Four ports cover most charging needs though the ports are marked for specific products (iDevice for Apple, Sam Tab for Samsung tablets, and U for universal), and optimised for the device being charged, though all the ports worked fine for the devices I tested on the charger.

* Output is a max of 2.0 amps on the Universal and Samsung ports,
* 2.1 amps on the Apple one.

*It's worth noting though that if you have multiple devices attached and charging, the output is limited in total across… Read more
1Byone Wireless HDMI WiFi Dongle Share Videos Imag&hellip by 1Byone
Note the supplier sent me a review sample, no attempt was made to influence my review of the product.

This Wifi dongle is one of the better devices I've tried, the concept has really taken off recently using the HDMI port for more than just normal connections, however some offerings have been a bit hit and miss both in terms of performance or price.

The iShare comes boxed with a HDMI male to female lead, and quite a long cable with the WIFI receiver attached to it and a micro USB and normal USB plug (to power the unit) Simply plug into the HDMI port on the TV, set the channel to the HDMI input being used and you are presented with a simple set up screen.
