12" Collection & More ~ Cameo
This is a great collection. No glaring omissions and the cd sounds great.
Wonderful 12" collection of an innovative funky group, with a very distinctive personality all of their own. Some tracks are more traditional funk, but others have an 80's new wave/rock touch..to great effect. Cameo continue to stand tall, in a league all of their own. Recommended listening pleasure :)
Faceless [DVD] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC] DVD ~ Helmut Berger
4.0 out of 5 stars Not bad at all.., 22 Mar 2013
Enjoyable movie from Jess Franco.. if you can take the terrible pop music and eighties hair styles. Inspired by Eyes Without A Face. With a bigger budget than Franco usually had, it does feel rather more conventional than the typical Franco movie. That said it entertains solidly throughout its running time. Best thing for me.. is Brigitte Lahaie who steals the show whenever she's on screen.
Lust for Frankenstein & Tender Flesh [DVD] [1997] &hellip DVD ~ Lina Romay
1.0 out of 5 stars Simply atrocious, 21 Mar 2013
Genius or hack ? Jess Franco has been called both in the past. Truthfully I think he is at times both. He has made a handful of really lovely films.. nothing beyond "Faceless" for me. Of the two movies here.. Tender Flesh is the better; but both are truly terrible. Both are essentially very unfunny, frat-boy mentality comedies with no sense of any artfull intention. If ever proof was needed that movies shot on video simply do not work artistically.. look no further. If you want to sample Franco's good work.. stick to his 60's & 70's films, or Faceless for the sublime Brigitte Lahaie.
