I bought this after having bought their excellent single 'Armchair' and I've not been disappointed. They remind me of early Sugarcubes with their energy and just how much they enjoy making a racket. Not that it's discordant music, but well structured and with tongue in the check lyrics, I think they must be be great fun to see live. If I must compare them to a current band I'd say The Ting Tings comes to mind (as a more high profile pop band) but I think that Thomas Tantrum are more original and down to earth as well being rock, rather than jingle which The Ting Tings have become.
If they haven't already done it, 'Shake It, Shake It' would make a great single, with a wry chorus… Read more
