2.0 out of 5 stars SHOVEL FOR SHORTIES, 31 Oct 2011
What I wanted was an adjustable snow shovel that both my wife and I could use comfortably.
I should have read the specification more closely with a measure in hand even - extended it is short, short, short and not really suitable for anybody over five feet tall. the telescopic bit also really doesn't make it much more compact for car boot use.

As it is within specification I am not returning it but it is off to the workshop for a transplant operation!

A tense read in Fyfield style. The London end of the scenario creates a vivid picture of Smithfield Market the rural end the life of an enthusiastic butcher.

A very disappointing read. In the end I didn't care much about any of the characters or who did what to whom. I would think at least a hundred pages too long.

Reading it "blind" I wouldn't have connected the book with the author of the excellent Shetland Quartet.
