Shelf Help: The Pocket Guide to Self-Publishing by Ben Galley
As a traditionally published author, I was in two minds whether this book would be very helpful. My doubts proved to be completely unfounded.

Galley's insights into the publishing industry can help any author gain more of a following. It's not a book JUST about shelf-publishing, it takes you from the creative process all the way to promotion and marketing. The second half of the book especially will be useful for traditionally published authors trying to gain a bigger profit.

The first thing I'll say is that this has elements of other genres too. There's a little horror thrown in, espionage, comedy and a lot of action. So most readers will definitely be able to find something in this book for them. For me, the romance is what Hartley does best. She writes with a great depth of emotion which really lends itself to the more romantic aspects of the storyline.

For me, the best thing about this book is… Read more
