GCSE French Complete Revision Guide (AQA) by Iain Coleman
It is a revision guide but perhaps a little more shallow than I was expecting; it is essentially a list of words and basic phrases organised under sections. It is great value for money and great at expanding your vocabulary, but you will still need a French book to show you have to make use of these words in a sentence, by apply language rules.

This is a solid introduction to the French language; I would recommend this for anyone who wants to have a good grasp of the language and how to construct sentences rather than to survive a holiday and France. If your holiday is in a few months this book will give you a firm grasp of french to hold conversations, though the lack of a CD or audio download for Kindle does mean you reliant of the phonetic guide and your own interpretation of how words should sound.

I use this to keep a surgical site clean of infection, and it very good and not at all messy. Don't get it on anything though, it is red in colour though it does come out easily in a quick cycle wash.
