Although by no means a committed Eco-Warrior, I share many of the green fraternity's concerns. The thing is, It's all very well pontificating endlessly, but what can one person do on a practical basis? I found this book an interesting read, as it explains things clearly and is a good overall guide to making your home eco-friendly - from rainwater harvesting and reedbed drainage to building your own composting system.
I found that it strikes just the right balance between practical things you can do on a DIY basis, and more ambitious projects like all the various renewable energy options, underpinned with a hint of Green conscience and carbon footprint info without being at all… Read more
