It seems an eternity since BOB were a staple on the John Peel Show. Their popularity there is illustrated by the inclusion here of 3 sessions for him, along with 2 others. One can only wonder now, listening to this mighty album, why they weren't bigger. Was this dismissed as twee? Cos it certainly doesn't sound twee. Energy, power, emotion, humour. BOB could've been, should've been....

So here we are nearly a quarter of a century later. And here they are again and boy does it sound fresh. They tease you with Dynamite, a slow ballad that doesn't so much blast you, as eases you in before the explosion of Skylark III that cranks the tempo up and doesn't let go, as the album storms… Read more

Fantastic and clear remaster of this album, which is probably her finest work. I rarely notice significant differences in sound, but on this disc they really are very evident and add to the experience. Innocent and Vain and You Forgot to Answer are two essential songs, creating a starkly bleak landscape. Heavily recommended.

Great album, still can't be faulted. But if they were doing the whole reissue package, then where's the early versions, early singles, etc. Oh well, opportunity missed. Send us a Postcard....
