There is one big problem with the Director's cut version of live at Pompeii. Its poor, really poor.
However, its saving grace is the inclusion of the original and the music it has on it. This is Pink Floyd at their very very best in my opinion, tentative guitar from David Gilmour, some of the best drumming i've ever seen with Nick Mason and of course the voices and musical talent of Rick Wright and Roger Waters.
For me, the best song on here is easily Careful with that Axe Eugene, the music works brilliantly with the setting and Waters' vocals are as impressive as they could be.
Overall this is a must buy for any Pink Floyd fan, but do yourselves a favour… Read more
Every silver lining has a cloud (ESLHAC) is, for me, one of the best albums i have bought recently. I am a huge fan of Kwoon and came to find this album as the guitarist is also in Kwoon. I was expecting something relatively similar to Kwoon but i was pleasantly surprised. ESLHAC dives right into the deep-end with the first song beginning with sounds of the sea, setting the mood for the song. The piano acts as almost the harmony of the song with the single open chord played queitly underneath. The vocals are hushed and full of meaning, carrying the song along to the end where it fades out.
