Never tried one of these before, but finding it really fun to use. I moulded a corner into a fine tip, and was able to gently lift off pencil to create subtle highlights. Pleased with it.

Have never used blending stumps before, but now wish I had. They happily blend graphite pencils, oil pastels, chalk pastels and charcoal. And I now have clean hands!

Really, really pleased with this purchase. Derwent have certainly thought about this design. I bought it primarily to store my collection of assorted pencils, as was fed up of having tins of one here, a zip bag of others there - I wanted them all in one place. I now have everything stored in this one bag, from the fat Stabilotone pencil, my (Derwent) watercolour pencils, aquapainter brushes, torchons, drawing pens - all of which are accommodated in the elastic strap. Love that I can put two pencils at a time in each elastic space if I wish, but elastic quite happily grips just one pen or pencil.
