I was disappointed by this film. I like Joanna Hogg's work and enjoyed her two previous films and was looking forward to this. I watched it with my daughter who is an artist herself. We were puzzled by it. We felt that the director had a vision and did not quite succeed in translating it into her film, which was a great pity as I found myself reflecting on parts of the film for some time afterwards so it definitely made a deep impression, but it left me wishing for more of the clarity of vision that come alive in the two previous films. This gift card was for a friend's birthday and it was extremely well received! So I would definitely recommend it, especially for friends who may have already read any books you choose for them!
