Start Calligraphy: Right Way to Write (Right Way S&hellip by Jon Gibbs
As the author I know this book inside out, A-Z. It was commissioned just at the time when the calligraphy boom was fading, if not faded. For some time all books in this genre had been large scale, say A4, hardback, printed on art paper with fine photographic illustrations and full colour on almost every page. The contents were heavy on pix, low on text. This book is the Lucky Jim, anti-hero format; small scale (A5), cheap paper, only black and white line art illustrations (apart from the cover which is a naff design not of my making), no photos, and lots of text - it is very wordy.
