I've always liked the Scissor Sisters namely because they don't try to be something they're not. They have their own style and produce great pop music which is so catchy. Their Pink Floyd cover 'Comfortably Numb' is unforgettable. Although it is a far cry from the original the sisters have injected their own style into it which in turn makes it different from most cover versions. 'Take Your Mama' is a funny little song which always makes me smile, 'Mary' is a deep, haunting ballad and the vocals are nothing short of outstanding. 'Laura' is fairly uplifting and 'Filthy/Gorgeous' is amazing. I just love that song. The other songs on the album are great as well. I think scissor sisters will be… Read more

I have always been a fan of Duran Duran, I thought they were great. It took me years to get hold of their greatest hits album but now I have. Its a good album which lists all of their hits way back to the early '80s. From the likes of 'is there something i should know' with its catchy beat and memorable chorus all the way to the '90s with underrated 'come undone' this album will take you on a trip down memory lane. My favourites are 'Girls on film', 'Save a prayer' and 'Hungry like the wolf' but theres not a bad track on the album. The lyrics are genuine unlike some of the rubbish thats been in the charts. I feel duran duran's greatest rounds off their finest hits quite nicely. Outstanding… Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars simply the best!!!, 20 April 2006
i have been a simply red fan for a long time now and i can honestly say that this is one of the best albums i have ever heard. the cd kicks off with 'holding back the years' which displays hucknall's more sensitive side and the haunting melodies can be emotional to say the least. every track stands out on this album particularly 'its only love', 'stars', 'something got me started' and 'for your babies'. if, like me, you decide to purchase this cd then you will see hucknall at his best as he displays his amazing vocal ranges. top cd.
