I am really enjoying this book. You get a real feel for the Tudor period from it. I haven't finished it yet as I want to takes time reading it - and I'm looking forward to the next one!

1.0 out of 5 stars Another dreadful book, 10 Aug 2013
I'm not sure who told this author she could write - nor am I sure why I actually bought this book, having ploughed through a couple if her other books.
The character of Lady Jane Grey in this book is appalling. Her Father is utterly cringeworthy and Guildford Dudley is just plain embarrassing.
I think someone should sit this author down, go through the Tudor timeline with her and then make her promise to never EVER write another book on this period again.
Awful awful awful awful awful

I am a real Tudor buff - I love reading books about this period in time.

I've read a previous Emily Purdy book (Mary and Elizabeth) and that was bad, but quite amusing I thought. However this, I just wonder did she (Purdy) just throw all Tudor Characters into a book and think 'let's throw this character together with this one and see what happens'. Cromwell and Lady Rochford?

Avoid this book, unless you fancy a laugh of course!!!!!

One star and that is being EXTREMELY generous.
