This book was recommended to me by a friend, whose taste in books is similar to mine, and I bought it on the strength of her recommendation plus the incredible bargain price on Amazon. It's a quick read - I finished it in three sittings. I was quickly drawn in by the clear, sparse prose which fits with the bleak setting.
