Army of Worn Soles by Scott Bury
Army of Worn Soles by Scott Bury
5.0 out of 5 stars Great story, 19 Jun 2014
I was sent an early copy of this book by the author in exchange for my honest review and a little bit of proofreading. This book is not yet for sale, since it will be published next June 22nd, so stay in tune.

Fictional memoir of Maurice Bury, the author’s father-in-law, in which we read how he got recruited by the Russian army while he was peacefully leaving in a little town in Ukraine. When Maurice gets to the army, he discovers that the soldier’s life is one of the hardest lives, especially if there is a war in the making. Three months later, he is a very young Lieutenant whose main mission is to keep his soldiers alive. He leads him to battle, but things don’t go as expected… Read more
Memoirs of a Gigolo - Two: Rachel by Kyra Ishtari
2.0 out of 5 stars Eww..., 21 Aug 2013
This book, once again stealing the title from another very well-known series of books, is as bad as the previous one. What made me give it one star instead of just one? The editing improved a bit. Just a bit. The writing is extremely bad. The dialogues are boring and repetitive; I found one expression that was repeated around 12 times... in 11 pages! The situations posed in this story are unrealistic and not erotic at all; it is rather disgusting, really.

Again, if you want to read a real Memoirs of a Gigolo, look for Livia Ellis and her amazing series of books.
Memoirs of a Gigolo - One: Melanie by Kyra Ishtari
When I saw this book, I couldn't believe my eyes. This author uses the same title as a very well-established and popular erotica author, Livia Ellis. I know that sometimes you can find different books that share the same title, and that's fine. What's so wrong about this author using the same title as Livia Ellis' series of books? I have read this book and I don't see the "memoirs" or the "gigolo" anywhere. All I can see is a quite out of taste pornographic story about a sexual encounter between a woman and a male prostitute. I said pornographic, yes, because this story is not erotica at all; it's plain porn. So I can just think that this author is using the title of this series of books in… Read more
